Problems with the forum in Russia

As I understand it, you are from Russia - then we have one nationality. And I am a little offended to read that my nationality predetermines something in me. This is not true. There is no mentality, this is a pseudoscientific concept. Education, culture, traditions - yes. But complaining about nationality is stupid and irresponsible.

я не жаловался на национальность, я говорил о националистах. Возможно перевод кривой. Они подливают масло в огонь и разобщают братские народы. А еще Пакет Яровой и Роскомнадзор

The problem, as far as I know, is that the Russians were ruled by either the Czars or the Apparatchiks or the KGB. It’s not easy to be in a democracy …

To be fair they did try democracy for a while, some got very rich during that time. Putin put a stop to democracy although some think they are a democracy.

he only so-called democrat was for the most part, drunk like a Pole, you speak!

For paid subscribers from countries where we have regional restrictions, can we be able to get access to the forum without a VPN? Like in the general VHTV site.

I do not intend to mislead people, I live in Iran

what do you mean?

I mean, because I live in Iran, I can’t get a vhtv subscription with Bitcoin because of financial sanctions.

what other payment methods?

You can always try something like decentralized solutions for purchasing/selling BTC. Bisq is an excellent example. Needs some time to get used to, but that’s something which may come handy in situation like yours.

Sucks that LocalBitcoins doesn’t provide services in Iran due to sanctions, that would be much convenient for you to use though.

Do your own research on methods like these. Cryptocurrency transactions do not tolerate illiteracy in terms of usage. One wrong turn and your money are gone to the black hole.

MasterCard and PayPal and Visa Card and Bitcoin. All of these are blocked due to US banking sanctions

Xrp, eth, dot, matic, dogE(snoopy coin), etc)

haha like citizens of western countries would be able to convince their gouvernments to stop censoring any information critical of covid vaccines, lockdowns or masks.

The more covidiots, the less covidiots? Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way; covidiots pose a threat to society (and not just themselves). The freedom of one ends where the freedom of the other begins. Unfortunately, many people perceive freedom differently - as “I do what I want.”

Sadly trying to convince covididiots they are wrong is a total waste of time especially on this type of forum. Social media is squarely to blame.

And I think people are to blame for everything. Those who deal with the issue of vaccination, and previously dealt with anti-epidemic measures. Why do I think so? Look at the percentage of adults vaccinated in Portugal. Portugal is far from the most disciplined and organized country in the world. But 95% of the adult population is vaccinated there. Because those who are responsible for it there have been conducting a consistent information campaign. I don’t know about other European countries, but in the country where I live, this is a complete mess. The authorities behave chaotically, as if they do not have world practice and statistics, or their people are God’s chosen people (do not suffer from covid). In the end, what? One of the highest death rates per capita of the population. And the fact that covidiots are like that - well, this is a penchant for conspiracy, it all depends largely on the level of education. For example, it always occurs to me to check some loud statement before spreading it further. This is because this is how I was taught at my university. And no one taught them this, so they blindly believe in all the nonsense they hear from the first person they meet.

The reason I blame social media is simple. I was reading about the whistleblower report of Facebook and how you get your newsfeed. Once you read and like an antivax story the algorism picks it up and you get more of those stories, you suddenly do not see the other side. How can you change your mind if you only get one side of the story.

As to these covididiots that are so anti showing their covid pass or ID because it is against their personal freedom, what a pathetic and lame excuse. All those that are anti vaccine because they don’t know what is in it, also a load of shit as it is clearly marked. Also, amazing how the so-called Doctors who are anti vaccine are actually not medical doctors but have doctorates in non-related fields.

The world is dumbing down, and social media has played its part. I see it in this forum as well. On serious issues it is impossible to have a decent and factual discussion. COVID is not going away, and the sooner people realise that the quicker they will learn to deal with it, and yes vaccines are the solution. I think my country Belgium has dealt with it fairly well and we have a high rate of vaccination and rising as people are realising that if they don’t get vaccinated they can’t go places. Unfortunately, you still have a hardcore of antivax who you and I call covididiots. Even some of the apartments have them, the way they socialise. I am truly amazed we have not seen a COVID case yet.

We dealt with covid. The fact that no one died is just an accident, and the youth of the participants. What you say about social networks is all true, I agree, but the global problem is more in the fact that for many people the Internet is LIMITED to social networks. For them, in fact, there is no Internet where we can look for articles from the Lancet magazine or something like that. This is the problem, not the social networks themselves. My, completely untested and unscientific theory is that humanity will evolve either into a swarm (like bees or ants), where the consciousness of all will be networked, or into powerful individuals, but most likely at some stage of this evolution there will be both of these types are presented. And adherents of social networks are probably going one way, and those who stay away from social networks are going the other way.
