Images on the main page

Is there anyway to hide the images that was introduced on the main page for me they are really annoying. Is there an option to hide it in my preferences.

I note with surprise that the photographs in this forum are now only visible to subscribers. Is there any way to unsubscribe from the Forum?

For me, when I put the cursor in the picture then the VHTV ad will disappear until the cursor is back outside the frame. Irritating to see all the time and is just another one of VHTV’s lame bullshit. No point posting any pics now or even following the forum - keeps getting worse.

I made a small change to featured topics previews which now makes forum homepage back to SFW version. The images themselves are revealed on hover.
