Seeing this reminded me of my grandm____r, she used to write the same ( the year) on every jar with what she was preparing for the winter

Yes, I also know from my parents and grandparents. i always had to use a stamp to print the year on some kind of masking tape, and then put it on the glass

My grandm____r passed away in 2000, at the age of 91

Mine passed away in 2016, aged 94
Mine is still there. Aged 85 
Mums can be great with food too. Mine is a specialist when it comes to cooking roast lamb!!! She gave me some of her lamb recently. No other roast dinner components needed THIS time (although they were always lovely when she made a full meal at our family home), just the lamb. I made things like gravy for it and oh wow…delicious, as always!!!
