I think the location tells me it was not self inflicted!
Probably just an accident of some kind.
That looks like a broken arm. I have a zipper like that on my right thigh…
I have never experienced that type of injury.

be happy. that’s not fun. I was 8 when my leg broke … several weeks in the hospital, which was still common here back then (the early 80s).
Over the years the scar fades and is no longer as noticeable as the one on Sanaya’s arm. but is far too big to be inconspicuous

The worst things I have experienced was heart surgery, then stroke, and leg amputation above the knee, but all after age 50.
