Sorry to say,
but where I come from, the word buffet only discribes the way the food is served, meaning a bigger variety of food, and you can choose what you want, no prefixed plates, like roast potatoe and veggie.
As far as the price goes it can go from 5 items to one plate, to eat all you can and go as often as you want.
I think you understand what I’m trying to say, useless to debate if it’s 5 or three items, that’s just an example. 
The main thing I want to say is, where I come from, the word buffet does not say anything about the price, unless indicated.
