Is mikl seriously going to try and recruit Lika. I donât see her participating in this lifestyle, just because her friend Shana does. She seems kind of shy, and hasnât really discovered her full sexuality, based on her for the most part covering up her body with the kind of clothes she wears

It seems Shana is keeping to herself today after the argument with Mikl last night and Mikl has therefore taken on the task of keeping their guest Lika company without any ulterior motives.

You can still PM a person by going to your profile page and selecting messages, new message and just enter the name of the person you want to message to.
A hidden profile is just that it hides your profile from personal info, but you can still send messages. 
As a caveat to that the function not to receive messages from users is also an option there.

As I said earlier mikl has issues being a real relationship and he may not be able to love. I believe endings things with marica has backfired on him
